Home and Jail Minister Babulal Gaur has said that launch of GRP Helpline in Madhya Pradesh is a historic initiative. Gaur inaugurated the helpline by pressing SOS Button of the app at NITTR Auditorium here on Saturday. DGP Surendra Sinh, DG Rail Maithili Sharan Gupta and former DGP M Natarajan were also present on the occasion.
Gaur said that a rail passenger will get immediate assistance and security with just on click on the app of GRP Helpline. He informed that when other states launch and adopt GRP Helpline, the service will be available to passengers throughout the country.
Through the helpline, security will be provided to passengers apart from effective curb on crimes during journeys. Since there is provision of feedback from users about GRP and RPF in the app, it will leave to further reforms in the two police outfits.
DG Rail Gupt informed about the helpline. He informed that due to it, crimes will be registered on the spot. Computer portraits of suspects will be drawn in the train itself and immediate action ensured. GRP Helpline App can be downloaded from Google Playstore.
