For smooth traffic flow in the city, the State Government has decided to construct four Foot Over Bridges (FOBs). On the line of New Delhi, in Gwalior subway will be constructed from Rani laxmi Bai tomb to Municipal Corporation Museum and the proposal for the same has been prepared accordingly.
Foot over bridges and subway will be constructed with the cooperation of common people. The proposals have been sent to Mayor in council of lED lights to be installed at subway and five squares of Gwalior city.
Pedestrians would be comfortable after the constructions of this foot over bridges and it helps the traffic to move smoothly. According to the official sources, foot over bridges will be constructed at Gola Ka Mandir Square, Mela Ground Trisection, Madhya Pradesh State Transport Bus stand and Gurudwara (phool bagh road) and it will be constructed on the basis of BOT.
At Gola Ka Mandir foot over bridge will be constructed from Morena to Bhind road, for the approach to Mela ground it will be constructed from Mela Ground Trisection to Vijayraje Scindia Udhyan, from Gurudwara to Deendayal Mall. This foot over bridge would be helpful for the pedestrians as well as for traffic also. These four areas where the foot over bridge will construct are congested with traffic, which would be helpful to lower the burden of traffic and the pedestrians will move frequently for their respective destination.
To attract the tourists it has been planned to play laser light show and Municipal Corporation has given the expression of interest for the purpose. In laser light show along with Gwalior information regarding nearby tourist places will be displayed with histories.
