The Opposition Congress has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of the State is misusing power to suppress the voice of those who are speaking against it.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief spokesman KK Mishra in a statement here on Tuesday said, “If the son of former Minister Kamal Patel externment orders of that were issued today only is criminal than is the son of BJP state president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan is freedom fighterIJ”
Mishra further said that the externment order of Patel’s son who raised the issue of illegal mining from Narmada River with full might and provided solid evidence of illegal mining is an attempt to silence his voice and case of political vendetta. The Government is doing double misuse of law against those who are speaking against it, he added.
Elaborating his allegations further the chief spokesman of Congress made it clear that the Congress was not in favor of former minister’s son who is involved in criminal activities, neither it is in support now nor would it be in future but the way administration action came under political pressure just after Patel raised voice against illegal mining is clear example of double misuse of law by the BJP Government.
Because, in the recent past the son of BJP state president under influence of liquor spread political terror over a female sub inspector and three other police employees and mishandled them but the police department under political pressure surrendered before Chouhan’s son who is also involved in criminal activities.
The police department not only surrendered but also dented the dignity of the department, how far this is justified, he added.
He asked whether it was not the double standard of the administration over the sons of two politicians involved in criminal activities.
