MECAPS State Secretary Zafar Hasan in a statement here on Tuesday said, “The advertisement for the scholarship to minority students was published on July 22, according to that the last date for filing applications was July 31 that was later extended to August 31. This year it has been made mandatory to apply online for the scholarship that is laudable step. But after ten days of publication of advertisement the website is not working properly due to that not a single form has been submitted. Though, there are possibilities of over two lakh applications this year and due to inaction of website the students are wandering here and there and some opportunists taking advantage of the situation are charging big bucks from them.”

Hasan further said that MECAPS is guiding the students of the State since over a decade to take benefit of the scholarships due to that Madhya Pradesh has been included in those states whose whole fund is utilised that in it-self is laudable and shows minority’s special interest in the scholarship scheme.

He said that like on earlier occasions MECAPS has made special arrangements for the students to submit scholarship applications but due to troubles in the government website students are facing problems in submitting their applications.
