Still scope for improvement! The ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh is scouting for ideas for good governance after 15 years of rule.
Barely a month before polling, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sought ideas for the next round of governance.
Party insiders say it is rather intriguing as why Shivraj Singh Chouhan Government has not come out with the figures as how many ideas they have received and how many have been implemented so far.
The ruling BJP and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have been seeking ideas from the citizens for a decade, but did not come out with the figures as how many ideas they have received and how many have been implemented so far.
The BJP on Sunday launched a campaign seeking ideas from the citizens for making Madhya Pradesh prosperous.
It was claimed that it is an innovative campaign launched by the BJP.
However, factually, this campaign was launched on January 20, 2009 with website- ideasforcm.in. The portal was registered on December 27, 2008, soon after the BJP came to power second term in the State.
This website is still active and taking the suggestions or ideas from the citizens. However, in this decade old website, another link that was provided for complaints- mpsamadhan.org is non-functional and out for sale.
Ironically, a similar advertisement by the State Government, seeking ideas from the citizens was published by the newspapers from September 30 to October 5. In that advertisement, the ideas were sought through ‘Future MP Task Force’. A separate mobile number- 8000305305 was mentioned for giving innovative ideas.
However, at present this number is no working.
The futureofmp.in portal in this regard was created on September 18, 2018 and on logging in to the website, the visitor encounters with the message of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stating, “We have formed the Future MP Task Force for giving shape to prosperous future of the State.”
Leader of the Opposition in the State assembly Ajay Singh on Monday lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Madhya Pradesh alleging that the BJP is using campaign of the State government.
