The State Congress has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe of filling of 206 seats of the Government quota by management quota in six medical colleges of the State.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesman KK Mishra in a statement here on Monday alleged that the private medical college owners sold the Government quota seats in the name of management quota to undeserving candidates. Hence this is a criminal act and it becomes necessary to register FIR of the same, he added.
Mishra said if Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is honest and is on justice side then he should immediately handover the issue to the CBI for investigation.
He said that the Admission and Fees Regulatory Committee (AFRC) by imposing fine on these colleges has tried to cover up the crime. Actually the owners of the private medical colleges are medial mafia. AFRC is trying to pat its own back by imposing fine whereas the fact is that it has done the act of saving the criminals. And is leaving the criminals by just imposing nominal fine, he added.
He said that the medical education department of the state is also accused in the matter of selling of 206 seats of Pre Medial test (PMT) 2013. It is for sure the gross negligence of the officers of this department that such a big scam took place right below their nose. This also exposes that the officials of the department does not have control over the private medical colleges. The admission of all those students who have been admitted by the wrongful way should also be cancelled, he added.
