In this budget session, the Madhya Pradesh government can give a big gift to the farmers. According to the information received, Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh is once again preparing to implement Krishak Samadhan Yojana. For this, the information of the farmers has been sought from the department.
Under this, interest-free loans will be given to more than 10 lakh farmers from the next financial year. There is a possibility that it can be announced by the Shivraj government in the budget for the year 2023-24 to be presented in March.
In fact, after coming to power after 15 years, in the year 2018, the then Kamal Nath government of Congress had implemented the Farmer Loan Waiver Scheme. Under this, there was a provision to waive off loans of farmers indebted to cooperative societies up to Rs 2 lakh. In the first phase, overdue loans up to Rs 50,000 and Rs 2 lakh were waived off in the current account and in the second phase there was a provision of loan waiver of Rs 1 lakh in the current account.
Its process also started but due to the fall of the Kamal Nath government in March 2020, the scheme got stuck there and lakhs of farmers became defaulters due to non-payment of loans. In such a situation, now according to the announcement of CM Shivraj Singh, once again the state government is going to implement Krishak Samadhan Yojana to help the farmers in the election year.
The special thing is that the farmers who have defaulted due to non-repayment of loans have been included in it, so that they can again get interest-free agricultural loans, fertilizers and seeds from cooperative societies.
This can be announced in the budget session of Madhya Pradesh government to be presented in March. On the implementation of this scheme, the state government is expected to bear a burden of about one thousand crore rupees.
In this, 4 lakh 41 thousand 840 farmers who did not get the benefit of loan waiver scheme will be included and other defaulter farmers will be included. For this, the cooperative department has sought information about defaulter farmers from all district cooperative central banks.
