The Opposition Congress in Madhya Pradesh has alleged that fearless sand mafia is active in the State and Chief Minister’s constituency and the Government is mute spectator of its activities.
Senior Congress legislator and former leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh in a statement on Tuesday said
in the BJP rule only leaders of BJP are doing progress at the place of people.
“The sand mafia’s are fearless in the State as the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself is indulged in sand mining while the Sangh is silent over all this,” Singh said.
Singh added, “If any mining, police or administrative officer tries to stop illegal mining than he/she becomes prey of the mining mafia that has gone fearless. Who is the Chouhan involved in the sand mining going on in Hoshangabad and what his direct relation with the power is, this should be made clear by the Government.”
He alleged the illegal sand mining is going on openly and fearlessly in Hoshangabad, Budhni and over entire Narmada River under Government patronage. On the one hand the government by taking out ‘Namami Narmade Yatra’ impounding of conserving the Narmada and on the other hand relatives of chief minister are openly doing illegal mining making Narmada River hollow, he added.
The former leader of Opposition said the loudmouth Chief Minister shows off to make Madhya Pradesh a golden state while by making a loss of over 2,500 crore every year to the revenue of the State who is becoming golden this is now known to all in the State.
Revelation of Chouhan brothers engaged in sand business is necessary and this should be known that
what is the difference in their living standard in 2005 and 2016 this should be made public, he added.
