District Collector Sanjay Goyal has ordered the Government land be freed from encroachers. Also an FIR should be registered against those who obstruct the Government machinery in the process, he added.
The Collector was talking on the allotment of land to various Government institutes in inter departmental coordination meeting. He said that those who hamper the procedure should be sent to jail. He ordered that who have possessed Government properties illegally should be bound over and the land should immediately be freed.
He also asked to resolve the land disputes with coordination. The Government purpose entail the construction of Government buildings, roads and electricity sub centers etc. for which the land should be made available. Under the cheap housing scheme the municipal corporation and GDA should be given land to build houses.
In the meeting, the forest divisional officers assured that the forest department would immediately provide No Objection Certificate in compliance with provisions of Forest Department.
Meanwhile, addressing a workshop organised in Madhav auditorium, Collector Sanjay Goyal said that use of wood for decorating drawing room must be stopped. "If the trees and plants do not survive how can we get pure OxygenIJ Only greenery can make our life happy, he added.
Environmentalists and officers of forest department of the state were present.
Inaugurating the workshop Goyal urged people to work collectively and save greenery.
