The State Government has constituted a committee to give suggestions to the Government regarding rebuilding of Patrakar Bhavan and its future shape. It is noteworthy that demand by various journalist unions was being raised with the State Government for new Patrakar Bhavan. Bhopal collector has cancelled lease of existing Patrakar Bhavan and given its possession to Public Relations Department to start process to construct new building.
The committee comprises Mahesh Shrivastava, lajja Shankar Hardenia, Girija Shankar, Suresh Mehrotra, Mrigendra Singh, Arun Dixit, Rajesh Sirothia, Anurag Upadhyay, Brajesh Rajput, Manoj Sharma, Dinesh Verma, Arun Chouhan, Anil Sharma, Sunil Shukla, Manish Shrivastava, Nitendra Sharma, SR Singh, Vijay Das, Shalabh Bhadoria, NP Agrawal, Avdhesh Bhargava, Radha Vallabh Sharda, Om Prakash Mehta, Suresh Sharma and Girish Upadhyay. Additional Director Public Relations Mangla Prasad Mishra has been appointed Convener of the committee.
