Not only women, even the Government employees of the State are not safe under BJP-ruled Government, said Congress leader Ajay Singh.
Referring to the incidences in which Naib Tehsildar Manish Jain was allegedly dragged down and beaten up by the activists of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), thrashing of Prof Rajendra Arya by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members and resignation of a chief engineer over bad behaviour and humiliation by Chief Secretary and a Minister’s staff, the Congress leader said these are shameful acts of Shivraj Singh Chouhan led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of the State. Singh also questioned the Chief Minister whether this was an employee oriented face of his Government.
Alleging further that Sangh Parivar treated Government employees as their slaves, leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh said that now it was a crime for the employees to disagree with the wrong works of the BJP, Sangh and their associated organisations. He said that the manner in which Manish Jain was being dragged down and beaten up by RSS members reminded him of Colonial rule and added that Prof Arya was assaulted because he refused to attest certain wrongful documents under pressure from the ABVP activist.
In a statement, the Congress veteran said that all sections of the society have been affected by the feudalism of the BJP. The honour of the officers and employees was mortgaged with the Chief Minister and whenever he wished they are insulted, he added. Singh said the condition in the State was so worst that if any official or employee stopped certain work related to BJP and associated organisations then he would be publicly beaten up by them. The BJP that claimed to be pro employee’s Government was in fact the anti employees and this was its real face, he added. The senior Congress leader said that the way RSS activists openly beaten up a public servant by entering a police station, that’s also in the State capital, have become a norm all over Madhya Pradesh.
