Government schools in the State lack basic facilities

Published on:

Claims are being made to implement world-class standards in government schools of Madhya Pradesh, but the reality is quite the opposite. In reality, government schools do not even have basic facilities like toilets, libraries, labs. Safety is also a big issue in government schools. According to the information given in the Lok Sabha on July 22, about 10630 girls have left school in MP. Clean toilets and safety in government schools is a big problem for girls.

The School Education Department of MP has released the report of 98,663 primary and middle schools in the state. Shocking information has come out in this. The situation is such that 2,762 girls are not able to use toilets in schools thereby leave their studies midway.

The government is providing all the resources including computers, printers in government schools, but there is no security to keep them safe. In such a situation, thieves and anti-social elements take away the goods at night. There is not a single security guard in the schools from 1st to 12th, whereas now a provision is being made to provide eight watchmen in the new CM Rise schools.

It is being revealed in the report hand washing units have not been provided to 20 thousand government schools of Madhya Pradesh. There is no provision of hand washing unit in 34 thousand schools. There is no drinking water facility and no classrooms in 1500 schools. In 22000 schools classrooms are in bad condition and need repairs.

There is no electricity system in 36000, while online education is to be promoted under the National Education Policy.

Smart class rooms and computer education have been made compulsory.

Now in such a situation, when there is no electricity in schools, the smart classrooms are a distant dream. There is no playground in 32541 government schools of the state.
