The Google India on Tuesday launched its 'Start Searching India' campaign in Bhopal to help Internet users get the most out of the web with Google Search.
The campaign aims to share interesting tips and tricks about Search with Indian netizens, which will be available at one online destination:g.co/startsearchingindia. The objective of the campaign is to help Indian users save time, by showing how they can get instant and to-the-point answers to their most common queries.
Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, Director (Marketing) of Google India, Sandeep Menon, said as more Indians come online for the first time, they are increasingly looking for convenient ways to find information on the web. Whether it is to find out movie show timings or cricket scores, or to learn the meanings of difficult English words, Google Search can give users instant answers to these common queries in the form of to-the-point information cards that appear above search results. In this way, Google Search can help Indian netizens save time, whether they're searching on desktop or on mobile, he added.
"We are quite ecstatic that the Bhopal people ate already using Internet for their smallest of requirements. Google's 'start searching' campaign is targeted at familiarising the people with the diverse uses of Internet and equipping them with the requisite skills for optimised usage of the search features offered by Google," he added. Menon also unveiled the top Search trends that the people of Bhopal search for most using Google Trends (www.google.com/trends).

Also, while Katrina Kaif was the actress whose picture users searched the most using Google Image Search, post Aashiqui 2 Shraddha Kapoor's image searches were the fastest rising. Google Trends is a tool that shows what people are searching for in a country or in a given period of time.
