Good riddance, says Cong on Pathak's joining BJP

The State Congress, reacting over its Vijayraghogarh MlA Sanjay Pathak joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has said that it is in the interests of the party thatthose working against it should go out.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) vice-president Manak Agrawal, in a statement here on Monday, said, “The incident of Pathak joining the BJP could be a big thing but for the Congress it is just an ordinary matter. The incident does not bear any significance for us because a person who built his political, economic and social status under the Congress could not become ours, then how long would he walk with the BJP, it’s matter of interest for us.”

Agrawal further said that for about two months Pathak was trying to do shameful bargaining with the Congress and the BJP on the basis of his financial power.

He had the wrong impression that he would make the Congress party dance to his tunes. Just a couple of days back he said that the Congress is in his veins and that his DNA is of the Congress but it is very shameful that his DNA changed overnight and he settled BJP in his veins, he added.

He said that the Congress does not need such persons whose DNA changes so quickly. The BJP that wants to seize power by adopting all unethical practices might be in need of such opportunist and thankless persons but the Congress certainly does not need them, because such persons who do not have any principles and ideology are not meant for the

Congress party that does politics of principles. Such persons always remain a burden for the Congress party that has its own ideology and principals, he added. The senior Congress leader said that Pathak’s joining the BJP would not make any difference to the age-old party, as he has already done much harm to the party by remaining in it.
