Gold ornaments worth Rs1 lakh were burgled from Sudama Nagar under Aishbagh police station area on Saturday.
Police said the incident took place at the house of one Shaheda Khan when she along with her family had gone for a visit in Uttar Pradesh. The incident came to know only when she returns home after three weeks. When she opened box of ornaments two days ago she found that gold ornaments were missing from it.
She immediately lodged a complaint to police which she expressed suspicion to her own son-in-law.
Shaheda complained to police that before she went for UP, she had asked here daughter Neelofar and son-in-law Arif Khan to stay at her home.
When she asked her daughter and son-in-law about the missing they pleaded ignorance over it. Meanwhile, police registered a case and started investigation.
