Two miscreants snatched gold chains worth Rs 75000 from a 64-year-old woman at Bhawani Dham under Ayodhya Nagar police station area on Sunday afternoon.
According to the police the incident took place on Sunday noon when the victim Poonama George along with her daughter was on her way back to home after attending prayers a St. Thomas church at Prabhat petrol pump she was attacked by two bike borne youths and one of the youths snatched the gold chain from victim and escaped the spot.
Shocked victim reported the incident with the Ayodhya Nagar police and lodged a complaint regarding the robbery.After preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
In the complaint the victim was claimed that the two bike borne youth came from behind and snatched the gold chain from her neck.The incident took place near her house and before she could understand and raise alarm for help the youths managed to escape.
Due to the sudden attack the victim was not able to react and rescue herself and at the same time she was not able to notice the motorbike number or other details.The only thing which the victim was able to provide was the number of miscreants on bike.
The victim has claimed that the two gold chains was weighing 30 gm and worth Rs 75000. The victim is a resident of Bhawani Dham and lives with her daughter.
