A 38-year-old woman’s gold chain worth Rs 30,000 was snatched from her at Ayodhya Nagar area on Friday.According to the police, at around 6 pm on Friday evening the victim, Arti Jain, was on her way to Chhatrasal Nagar along with her son on a scooter when two bike-borne miscreants attacked her and snatched the gold chain from her neck.
Before the victim could call for help the two miscreants fled from the spot. A complaint was lodged with the Ayodhya Nagar police and a case under Section 392 of the IPC was registered.
The victim has claimed that the miscreants came from behind which did not provided her enough time to react and her first priority was to balance the vehicle in order to save her son and herself. She could not notice the registration number of the vehicle or other details of the miscreants.
The victim has claimed that the gold chain was worth Rs 30,000. Police said that the CCTV cameras installed in the nearby areas would be checked and the locals would be questioned. Details provided by the victim would also be shared with other police stations.
