To let the urban youth explore the lifestyle and tradition of rural India, a team of youngsters travelled to Bhimkothi Village in Budni on Friday. The trip is organised under an event ‘Go Rurban’.

Go Rurban is a social event organised jointly by youth organisation Ansh Happiness Society and Ekta Parishad. It is a five-day trip wherein 20 youngsters will have a close look at the lifestyle of villagers living at Bhimkothi. The camp will conclude on May 30.

Notably, it is the first youth camp under the event Go Rurban organised with the objective to know about the life in rural environment. The basic idea is to explore the shortcomings and highlights of both the urban and rural lifestyle.

While informing about the event Mohsin Khan of Ansh Happiness Society told The Pioneer, “There is a huge gap between urban and rural India. It is interesting the people from rural areas come to urban areas to earn their living, on the other side urban people do not even know how the rural people survive.” Elaborat+ing more, he said, “It is only through this exploration that we can build a bridge between both the ends and can actually be the combination of both rural and urban, Rurban.”

The group is not only having participants from various districts of Madhya Pradesh but also youth from Gujrat, Bihar, Kerala, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.

During the camp various guests including Gandhian leader and Peace Activist Rajagopal PV, AGDP Anuradha Shankar Singh (IPS), Ransingh Parmar President, Ekta Parishad will visit the village.

Informing about Bhimkothi village, he said that it is a small village located in forest area. There is no road connectivity and even there is no mobile network. “The group which has visited the village will be able to understand rural people, explore their tradition and will learn about their hardships.”

Today’s youth is empowered and will help to bring the connectivity between both the poles with an impact, he added.
