The Gwalior Municipal Corporation on Tuesday removed encroachments which were obstructing smooth flow of traffic in Phoolbagh area.
This drive was conducted in Prem Nagar and Nai Sadak areas, also the action was taken against the shopkeepers. During the action Municipal Commissioner Anay Dwivedi, Additional Commissioner Sandeep Makin, Ml Daulatani along with police force were present. Municipal Corporation has conducted the drive at 6 pm started with Phoolbagh area.
During the drive encroachment was removed from Prem Nagar to Nai Sadak, Bada, Sarafa, Daulatganj, Inderganj area where the shops have been erected with disarranged sign boards, teen shed etc. Besides, the officers have instructed the shopkeepers that they should not engage in encroachment, otherwise stern action would be taken against them next time.
While taking action a number of corporation personnel were present along with huge police force. The goods used for encroaching government land were seized. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dwivedi has instructed that in future, if the same persons are found encroaching government land, their goods would not be returned.
Gwalior Collector Sanjay Goyal has said that there should be no encroachment near electric pole and electric transformer and it is the responsibility of Electricity department. If any accident happens then the Electricity department will be the responsible. Besides, an FIR would be lodged against the electricity officer concerned.
This was all stated by the Gwalior Collector while addressing the Inter-departmental meeting of Electricity department. Gwalior Collector has said that the drive should conduct and in next 15days the encroachment should be removed from the Electricity Pole and Electricity Transformers.
