A two-day international seminar on “Hindustani Farsi Adab Ek Tanquidi Jaiza” is being organised here on March 24 and 25 by the Department of Persian in the Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
According to Director of the seminar Professor Tahera Waheed Abbasi, Vice Chancellor of Barkatullah University Professor Nisha Dubey, shall preside over the inaugural function while secretary of Education, Embassy of Afghanistan Abdul Khaliq Rasheed, would be the chief guest on the occasion.
Chairperson of All Saints’ Group of Institutions Qaiser Zaman and CEO of Reliance Industries limited for Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Farhan Ansari would be the guests of honour on the occasion.
The keynote address would be delivered by Professor Shareef Hussain Qasmi, a retired professor of Persian in the Delhi University. While Chief Executive Director, Illinois Industries lombard, USA, Habeebuddin Ahmed shall be the special guest speaker on the occasion. About 50 papers would be presented in the two-day seminar.
Apart from Afghanistan, the USA and Iran delegates who shall present their papers from Indian cities include: Delhi, lucknow, Banaras, Allahabad, Aligarh, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmadabad and Bhopal.
The valedictory session shall be held on March 25th from 4 pm to 4.30 pm. The seminar has been sponsored by the University Grant Commission (UGC), National Council for Promotion of Urdu language (NCFPOUl), New Delhi, and Iran Culture House, New Delhi.
