A complaint of clicking objectionable pictures of an MBA student of a private college and blackmailing her using the photograph was lodged with the Gandhi Nagar police station on January 31. According to the police, MBA student of RKDF College Gandhi Nagar lodged a complaint against her classmate, a girl, regarding taking obscene pictures few days ago.
The victim alleged that her classmate clicked some pictures of her during a party in which she was sedated by the accused girl and later took her photographs. later she received an obscene photograph on her Whatsapp messenger threatening that she has more of such photographs and would make them public if she would not follow her instructions.
When the victim went to lodge a complaint with the police on January 31 she was told that the officials were deployed in election duty and she should come on Sunday but later she never returned for recording her statements.
CSP Nishatpura police Malkeet Singh said that the complaint was lodged by the victim but she had not returned after providing the written complaint. Any action or further investigation could be done only after the victim responds to the complaint as only on the basis of complaint nothing could be done.
College management claimed that College committee would probe the matter and would submit a report regarding the incident.Till the filing of the report no case was registered against the accused girl. College management has contacted the family of the victim which arrived in the city on Sunday.
