A girl was engaged with a boy but when it was known that the character of the boy was not good, the family members of the girl broke the relation.
The boy started harassing the girl to defame her. Fed up with the harassment, the girl torched herself to death. Police have registered a case against the boy for compelling the girl to commit suicide. The incident took place in Ghoshpura under Bahodapur Police Station in 2010.
According to information, the victim’s marriage was settled with Suresh, resident of Rishikesh. After the settlement of marriage the family members of the girl came to know that the character of the boy was not good so they broke the relation. The angry boy began to harass on phone. He began to defame her. Fed up with this harassment the girl torched herself to death on 5 November 2010. After enquiry the police registered the case of compelling the girl to commit suicide.
In another case, the police registered the case of compelling a suspended peon to commit suicide against an ITI clerk Manoj Sharma. It may be noted that the suspended peon of ITI Deviram Batham resident of Narian Vihar consumed poison accusing the clerk Manoj Sharma of demanding bribe. The peon died in the Birla hospital during treatment. His family members staged Chakka Jam near ITI institute. After the enquiry by police a case of compelling the deceased to commit suicide was registered against Manoj Sharma.
