A 24-year-old girl alongwith her friend committed suicide at Amardeep Hotel under Hanumanganj police station area late in the night on Thursday.
According to the police hotel staff of Amardeep hotel informed the police after they heard girl shouting and failing to open the door. On the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation. On entering the house
The two were identified as Manisha lowanshi of Indore and Shubham Patel of Chhola Mandir area.
SHO Hanumanganj Jitendra Pathak said that the boy was found in an unconscious state while the girl was in conscious state. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where the boy was declared dead and girl died during treatment.
In the initial investigation it was found that the two were acquainted and were friends. The girl used to live in a rented room in Indore and used to visit and stay at her uncle’s house in Chhola Mandir area where she developed friendship with Shubham, he added.
Pathak said that the reason behind the suicide remains unclear and would be investigated.
Police have not received any suicide note which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide.
The hotel staff told the police that the couple stayed several times at the hotel. On Thursday they came and later Shubham left the hotel and returned in the night. The two took extreme step.
