An 18-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Bagroda village under Misrod police station area late on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Pooja Ramcharan and was found in an unconscious state by her family members. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she was died during treatment.
Police said she was a Class X student in a private school and she used to remain depressed over her illness. She was not able to continued her studies or complete any other work. However, the reason behind the suicide remained unknown.
Police registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that investigation on other possibilities would be conducted. Statements of classmates and friends would be recorded which would help in revealing the reason behind the death.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Shahjehanabad area on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Jitendra Sen. Sen used to work as a labour and was a habitual drinker.
Family members told police that the deceased was heavily drunk on Monday and later he committed suicide.
The police registered a case and have started further investigation.
