Back-tracking his statement within 24 hours, Urban Administration and Development (UAD) Minister Babulal Gaur on Thursday clarified that he never said that the Bairagarh residents should move to Pakistan.
Gaur said, “A delegation of the Bairagah vegetable traders called on me to handover a memorandum for shifting in the Naveen Sabzi Mandi and said that they came here from Pakistan 60 years ago, replying to this I said that now you need not to go back to Pakistan. Go to the new sabzi mandi that is equipped with full facilities and do your business.”
Gaur further said, “I assured the delegation from the Bairagarh that the state government and municipal corporation is always with them and we would not let you any discomfort.”
He said that on the demand of vegetable traders of Bairgarh proceedings for settlement in the new vegetable market has to be done. In these circumstances handing over a memorandum to the minister by the vegetable traders and telling in that, that the new vegetable market is located in the jungle and is insecure place is misleading and irresponsible act. The new vegetable market has been constructed on the demand of the traders on the place selected by them, he added.
UAD minister has appealed from the vegetable traders to not come in the misguiding propaganda and assured that all facilities would be provided in the new vegetable market and that all the traders shift to the new market with their will to extend cooperation in the public welfare and development works.
Political circles in the state capital were agog with the rumours that UAD Minister Gaur has told a delegation of the Bairagarh traders to go to Pakistan. Bhopal District Congress Committee President PC Sharma put up this alleged statement of Gaur on the social networking site facebook.
