Former Home Minister Babulal Gaur feels that the way he was shunted out of the Cabinet last year, was a 'political management' to ease him out.
After BJP national president Amit Shah on Saturday clarified that there was no such criteria of 75 years of age for those in government, it was clear that the decision of sacking two ministers - Babulal Gaur and Sartaj Singh - was taken at the behest of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Former Home Minister Babulal Gaur and Power Minister Sartaj Singh had to resign on June 30, 2016. They told media persons that they were asked to submit their resignations stating that the high command in New Delhi had decided that nobody 'over 75' can remain in the government.
While talking to media persons on Saturday, Shah said, "There is no such criteria based on age and in Madhya Pradesh whom should be inducted in the cabinet or shunted out, is the prerogative of the Chief Minister." With this, it was clear that Gaur and Singh were ousted from the cabinet only on the directives of the Chief Minister.
While talking to 'The Pioneer' 10-time sitting MlA Babulal Gaur said that the way he was asked to submit resignation can be termed as 'political management' and senior party leaders Ramlal, Vinay Sahatrabudhe and State BJP chief Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, besides the Chief Minister were involved in it.
Saying that he is still preparing to contest Assembly polls, Gaur said, "The party has given me a lot, more than anybody else might have got.
“I was made Chief Minister from a labourer. I am a devoted party worker," he said.
He claimed that the visit of Shah has given a lot to the State. Those taking pride being in the government or top posts in the organization faced the tunes. After his visit, it seems that 'good days are coming' for the party workers in Madhya Pradesh.
