Bhopal Gas Peedit Sangharsh Sahayog Samiti has alleged that the poor gas tragedy victims are suffering due to the inefficiency of Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of the State.

While talking to the media persons here on Tuesday, Samiti’s convener Sadhna Karnik alleged that the State Government has done nothing but scams in the name of toilet construction. A poor gas victim has lost his leg while going for defecation on the railway track as there are no toilets.

Karnik stated that the victim, Omprakash lost his leg at the railway lines near Chola on Monday. Omprakash did not see the incoming train due to dense fog and lost his leg. Omprakash was a labor while his father is a gas victim.

Karnik told that the father of the victim, Ramsingh had submitted the application six months ago regarding the construction of the toilets in his house at ward number 18. Officials of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) had thrown the application in the dustbin.

later, officials had announced ward 18 as a clean ward, she added. Karnik has alleged that the State Government has dumped several applications of the citizens in the dustbins and is announcing Bhopal as a ‘clean city’. No minister or Government official has visited Omprakash. The gas victims of the city are raged due to this accident.

Karnik has demanded to the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, gas relief minister Vishwas Sarang and Bhopal Collector Nishant Warwade to provide the compensation of Rs 5 lakh and a Government job to  Omprakash.
