The Delhi Police has arrested a 38-year-old gangster from southeast Delhi’s Jamia Nagar area, who is member of notorious Abdul Naseer Gang. The arrested person was identified as, Ible Hassan alias Dilshad (38) a resident of Abul Fazal Enclave in Jamia Nagar and a native of Hapur district in Western Uttar Pradesh said, Additional DCP (Southeast) Kumar Gyanesh.
Hassan was previously arrested in four murder cases and was previously involved in 16 cases. After coming out on bail in June this year, he was planning to lead the gang in absence of Abdul Naseer, who is absconding and has reportedly gone underground after a case under stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) was registered against Naseer by Delhi Police.
“There was a specific information about movement of the wanted criminal and accordingly a police team was tasked to bring him to justice. Hassan was arrested by the police team while he was seen moving in Abul Fazal Enclave and at around 10 pm on Saturday. His body search led to recovery of a country made pistol and a live cartridge”, The Additional DCP said.
During interrogation, Hassan told the police that he was earlier a grocery vendor but jumped into crime world for easy money and was first time arrested in year 1999 and later joined Abdul Nasser gang and started doing extortion, gambling and land grabbing of disputed properties in Trans Yamuna area, police said.
In 2014, due to enmity with Naseer Gang, accused Hassan along with his gang members murdered one Akil Mama at Jafarabad area. In this case Akil’s brother Zahid was the eyewitness. Zahid had threat to his life and was provided PSO by the Delhi Police, however in 2015, Hassan alongwith his associates put chilli powder in the eyes of PSO and eliminated the eyewitness Zahid, a police official involved in probing criminal cases registered against Hassan said.
