Main accused of gang rape absconding was past one year and having a reward of Rs 5000 was arrested by Gandhi Nagar police on Thursday.
Accused was main accused in the heinous crime committed a year ago, Sunil Dahunk was booked under 366(A), 376(2), 376(3), 190 and 370(4) and section 5 N, 5I and 6 of POCSO Act.
After the accused went absconding police declared a reward of Rs 5000. He was arrested from his house after receiving information that he was at the house and was trying to escape.
The Piplani police have nabbed a vehicle lifter near Gate no.1 Minal Residency and recovered three two-wheelers worth Rs 1.3 lakh from his possession on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip off a vehicle lifter was nabbed near near Gate no.1 Minal Residency and failed to provide details of the vehicle and confessed that the scooter was stolen from Ayodhya Nagar area.
The nabbed was identified as Bablu Vishwakarma (20) of Kanchan Quarry of N sector. Later in the investigation the confessed stealing of other vehicles and recovered two more two wheelers from his possession.
During the investigation accused confessed that he was involved in stealing vehicles and has been booked for four thefts by Ayodhya Nagar and Piplani police, he was also booked for transportation and selling of liquor illegally by Ayodhya Nagar police. The accused was booked for three thefts by Ayodhya Nagar police and Piplani police booked him for one theft.
Police have recovered two scooters and one motorbike from his possession. Accused was nabbed after he was trying to sell stolen vehicle but was arrested before he could sell the vehicle.The three recovered vehicles were Honda Dream Yuga with registration number MP04QD9468, Honda Activa bearing registration MP04UA1973 and Jupiter bearing registration MP04UV9576.
