The Gandhi Nagar police destroyed and dumped four drums of raw material of country made liquor at Pardi Mohalla and arrested five persons including four women; 30 litres of country made liquor was also seized in the action.
Acting on a tip off, regarding preparing of country made liquor illegally in the Pardi Mohall police acted swiftly and raided the place where accused were preparing country made liquor, raw material was filled in four drums. The nabbed were identified as Raja Pardi (47), Marjina(30), Shaali(40), Anju (23)and Tara Bai(55). The police have registered a case under section 34(2) of the Excise Act and informed the Excise department for further investigation.
During the investigation police found that the Raja Pardi was involved in the whole dealing of liquor and later nearby areas would be delivered with the prepared liquor. The four drums were having raw material in massive quantity as the gang was targeting to sell the liquor during the upcoming festival season.
The nexus which was working from providing the raw material and till the delivery of the liquor would be unearthed later in the investigation said police.
Four drums carrying over 200 lt each. The miscreants were nabbed in the wee hours on Friday. Details of the nabbed accused and liquor seized would be searched in the further investigation.
