Mahatma Gandhi was a great supporter of cleanliness. Mahatma personally took over the responsibility to inspire the people to make India free of dirt. Under the direction of Ministry of Culture, Government of India, New Delhi, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is successfully carrying out activities under Swachh Bharat campaign.
Under this campaign, IGRMS intends develop waste management system for solid and liquid garbage, maintain cleanliness in the campus and safe drinking water for the visitors.
In compliance with GOI order, the cleanliness campaign in IGRMS campus, every Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm has been carried out at Rock Art Heritage Area, Main Parking Area and Mythological Trial Area. In addition to this, on the occasion of 40th foundation (March 21-23, 2016) cleaning work of various sections of the museum, open-air exhibitions and the cleaning of Water coolers and Toilets were carried out to provide better public facilities.
