During Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s US visit, ‘Friends of MP Conclave’ will be held at Manhattan where website ‘Friends of MP” will be launched in New York on February 1.
This was informed by Chief Minister Chouhan at a meeting pertaining to his US visit here on Tuesday day. Chief Secretary Anthony DeSa was also present on the occasion. Madhya Pradesh has taken this initiative on the suggestion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prepare a global talent pool by every State.
The website will focus on sectors like education, health, skill development, rural development and tourism. Gradually, the website will be expanded to other sectors also. Apart from giving suggestions, the member friends will also be able to associate with any project or voluntary work through the website.
Through this website, people of Madhya Pradesh will use their experience and talent for development of the State and country. Besides, NRIs from Madhya Pradesh in any country can link with this portal.
The Chief Minister has described it as a golden opportunity for NRI talents from Madhya Pradesh to associate themselves with Madhya Pradesh’s development works through “Friends of MP” website.
The meeting was informed that Indian NRIs will take part in ‘Friends of MP Conclave’. Eminent Indian luminaries of US will also be invited. Registration will have to be made on website for participating in the conclave. Chief Minister Chouhan said that branding and marketing of Madhya Pradesh will be focused at the conclave.
The Chief Minister will visit US from January 31 to February 5. During the period, he will have one-to-one meetings with entrepreneurs and business summits will also be held. Principal Secretary to CM Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Commerce & Industries Mohammad Sulaiman and Secretaries to CM Vivek Agrawal and Hari Ranjan Rao also attended.
