The state government has taken an important decision in the interest of SC ST students. The state government has decided to provide free residential coaching to SC-ST students. Under this, SC-ST students will take coaching in smart classes. Tribal Affairs Minister Mandve launched the free residential coaching scheme on the occasion of Teacher's Day.
Free coaching of IIT-JEE will be given by the state government to the meritorious students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. With the aim of increasing the participation of these students in IITs, after class 10th, they will be given free residential facility and coaching in Bhopal itself for the preparation of competitive exams. Tribal Affairs Minister Meena Singh Mandve launched this scheme on Teachers' Day on September 5 at Government Gyanodaya Vidyalaya, Katara Hills at 12 noon.
The government has started the 'Champions-90' initiative in association with private coaching institute FIITJEE. This institute from its C.S.R. fund, will give coaching to these students complete with all modern facilities. Along with this, a tablet will also be provided free of cost to every student for academic preparation. This tablet will be connected to the educational software of the coaching institute. In this, online education material will be available to the students. Apart from this, other necessary educational books will also be made available to them.
To give the benefit of the scheme, a total of 90 students have been selected in the entrance examination conducted by the coaching institute on August 28, in which the number of boys and girls is 45-45.The number of SC and ST students is also in a certain ratio.
Coaching will be provided by the experienced teachers of the coaching institute in the equipped and soundproof smart classrooms. The students doing coaching under the scheme will also be provided education of class 11th and 12th by the department itself.
In these two years, the student will be given admission in a residential school in Bhopal itself. Along with this, books and other study material will also be provided to them.
