A free medical health camp was organised by MP Anusuchit Jati Vikas Evam Kalyan Samiti at the women’s shelter home here. In this medical camp Dr. Shilpa Dodani (MBBS, Gynecologist) and Her team examined over 16 women and provided free medicines for problems like menstrual disorders, lower abdominal pain, discharge, prolapsed uterus, she also checked the problems related to health, heart problem, and skin disorder of all the children and Women.
The girls and women from Shelter Home and Shajahanabad area and those belonging to the poorer sections were suffering from various ailments, especially anemia due to malnutrition. Though, the girl and women suffer from various ailments, they do not approach doctors due to shyness and poverty. Around 16 people were benefitted from the camp. Secretary MP Anusuchit Jati Vikas Evam Kalyan Samiti Samar Khan Said in this health camp women and girls got awareness about health and medicine.
The health camp aim at promoting health seeking behavior in the long term and thus, unlike a general curative health camp, these camps also majorly work on building awareness regarding common ailments, family planning methods, nutrition and hygiene and sanitation, by this camps Samiti provide comprehensive health services free of any cost.
