Awadhpuri police has nabbed four persons involved in the killing of a DSP on Wednesday evening at Sector A of Awadhpuri. The main accused, Himanshu, was annoyed with deceased’s phones and messages with her mother, said police.
Earlier, police had claimed that there was some family dispute that led to the murder of the police officer. Police have nabbed four accused Himanshu Pratap Singh who shot DSP Gorelal Ahirwar while three others were Suraj Yadav, Anil Singh Rajput and Chetan Sharma. Himanshu was caught from Vidisha.
The country-made pistol, used in the murder, has been seized by the police from Shakti Nagar.
The accused Himanshu’s mother is a constable with district police and the deceased used to talk with her and used to message her which the accused never liked. In the evening on Wednesday, the accused had come to discuss the issue. As he was trying to create an ungly scene, the daughter of the deceased told him to leave but the accused returned within moments and shot Ahirwar from point blank range.
During the investigation police found that the accused had given the weapon after the murder to the three accused which was later recovered. The role of the three aides is yet to be revealed. Police have recovered a car from Himanshu’s possession.
The body was sent for the post-mortem after the preliminary investigation and the police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC .
After the murder, panic prevailed in the area. The Deceased had been rushed to Narmada hospital where he died during treatment.
