The Nursing College, AIIMS Bhopal conducts BSc (Hons) Nursing (75 annual intake) and MSc Nursing course (30 intake in 5 broad specialties, Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Community Health Nursing) with 4 super specialties (Critical care Nursing, Neurosciences Nursing, Oncology Nursing and Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Nursing under Medical Surgical Nursing) and the admission process of 2023 batch is completed.
One-week foundation course started on 28th August, for 2023 batch of UG and PG nursing students was organized by the CMET (Centre for Medical Education & Technology) and Nursing College AIIMS Bhopal which is unique of its kind and caters not only to the cognitive quotient of the student but also to the psychological and social quotient to facilitate acclimatization for the newly enrolled students.
This one-week foundation course includes sessions for comprehensive and holistic development including learning strategies, basic life support, communication skills and compassion, stress and time management, presentation and interview skills, trust and collaboration, building resilience, social media, professional and cultural etiquettes, ethics, humanity and science, Indian civilizational values, nursing research with social values, patient safety and respecting patients, universal human values, digital literacy along with leadership and managerial skills equip the students with necessary life skills. Interaction with alumni also is a part of this foundation course to make the students acquaint with a broader aspect of nursing profession.
