Hanumanganj police hasbooked two persons including former BJP corporator for circulating posts defaming Congress candidate Digvijay Singh over facebook on Saturday.
Police said that former BJP corporator Pankaj Chouksey and BJP worker Prem Singh have been booked under section 188 of the IPC for circulating and posting of a newspaper cutting published last year which mentioned mobile number of Singh in the call details of naxalites.
Pankaj posted the comment while Prem Singh shared the same with others. Pankaj in his post claimed that Singh who is a Congress candidate and who is looking for votes from people of state capital to claim Lok Sabha polls is a naxalite supporter.Later this post of Chouksey was further shared by Prem Singh on his facebook wall after which the two were booked under section 188 of the IPC by Hanumanganj police. These posts inciting voters to vote in a specific direction and influence are banned by Chief Electoral Officer and Collector Sudam Khade after he imposed section 144 of CrPC on social media.
Meanwhile, the State Cyber cell arrested a Haryana based youth for posting an obscene video after editing a post on Tiktok (a video sharing social media platform) of Ujjain based girl, revealed police during a press conference on Sunday.
Police said that the victim girls are a group of Badnagar based girls which posted a musical message which was edited and added with obscene video and again posted by the accused.
A complaint was lodged by victims stating that they have posted a musical video which was edited and made obscene and again posted and circulated intentionally. Based on the complaint police traced the accused in Rohtak Harayana and nabbed the accused identified as Narwaan Jangad.
A case under section 67 of the IT Act was registered. The mobile phone recovered from the accused was loaded with porn content which suggests that the accused is porn addict.
