Alleging that there were nearly 150 scams that took place during the BJP regime in Madhya Pradesh, State Congress president Arun Yadav on Saturday demanded from Centre to constitute a Special Commission to probe into the scams.
During the past nine years, about 150 scams, including the multi-crore Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) and Dental/Medical Admission Test (DMAT), came to the fore but Shivraj Singh Chouhan regime did not initiate proper probe into the scams, he alleged.
While talking to media persons on Saturday, PCC Chief Arun Yadav demanded formation of a special commission for thorough investigations.
He alleged it has been proved that a mega nexus between the influential people in the Government and education mafias, bureaucrats had thus far robbed millions and through DMAT alone, doctors' degrees were being sold for
`1 crore every year while huge malpractices took place in admission to private medical colleges through pre-medical test (PMT).
The Congress leader also mentioned names of relatives of some influential people who allegedly arranged admission to their kin in private dental and medical colleges through unfair means. He released a list of 14 such people who got their wards or kin admitted in the medical colleges. The daughter of Rekha Singh, younger sister of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's wife Sadhna Singh, tops the list.
Releasing the Narendra Modi Government’s one year Report Card during the Press meet, Yadav said this ‘suit-boot ki sarkar’ is anti-poor and anti-farmer and was working for some selected corporate houses alone.
He said the Modi Government had slashed `1.75 lakh crore on social sectors while it also slashed the schemes introduced by the predecessor UPA Government.
Yadav said the Centre had stopped the funds earmarked for various Central schemes to Madhya Pradesh Government and urged the Chief Minister to demonstrate against the Centre, which he used to do during the UPA regime.
