Forest Minister Sartaj Singh reviewed progress of plantation works being carried out in the state during monsoon here today. He said that progress of plantation of saplings through forest committees should also be reviewed. Singh said that certificate should be given to every beneficiary.
The Forest Minister directed that if required, arrangements should also be made by Forest Department to transport saplings to be planted in private sector. Principal Secretary Forests, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and other senior officers attended the meeting.
