For Kashiram, CM visit was manna from heaven

If you ask what was the happiest moment in his life Kashiram Raikwar of Badagaon village would probably say the day when the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh offered him to treat her little daughter, who had been draining all his earning over the months.

Shivani, since birth, has been carrying a big tumour in her head and her father Raikwar has been doing all what he can to save her daughter from this dreaded disease. He has consulted many doctors and hospitals but all in vain. At the same time he can’t fully devote and concentrate for the little daughter, who is now just 6-month-old, as he is the sole bred earner of the family.

On Thursday, by chance or lucky, when Kashiram along with his younger brother Vijay  Raikwar came to Badagaon to receive Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, who happened to visit here as part of his 50-day long Jan Aashriwad Yatra , the Chief Minister saw him carrying his little daughter on his arms.

Immediately, Shivraj Singh Chouhan called Kashiram near him and enquired about the little girl. Kashiram told the Chief Minister that there was a big tumour in her head and further informed that since he was working as a labourer, and sole bread earner in the family he was unable to meet the expenses on her treatment.

The Chief Minister, then, replied that the Government has existed for helping the poor.

Immediately, he directed the Collector to send the girl for treatment to whichever hospital where her treatment is possible without delay and caring for expenses of treatment since life of the girl is precious.

The Tikamgarh Collector talked to Bombay Hospital of Indore, and made necessary arrangements for treatment there and sent Kashiram and the girl to Indore by special vehicle after completing necessary formalities at district hospital. Now, Kashiram has left for Indore with renewed hopes.
