The veteran in Madhya Pradesh politics, the Grand Old Party of the country Congress, is following in the footsteps of a toddler in the State politics, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Initially AAP came out with a unique idea of protesting against the bad roads in the State Capital by planting saplings in potholes and naming them after BJP leaders of the State.
On Friday, the Congress leaders led by Bhopal District Congress Committee (DCC) president PC Sharma named the main road near Six Number market after Prime Minister Narendra Modi by putting up a sign board reading ‘Narendra Modi Marg.’
The Six Number market road along with other major roads in the city are in ruins since the recent rains. Almost all the roads are dug up,
pockmarked and dusty, commuting on these roads is a
task for pedestrian and the road is full of gravels. The
muddy, murky and marshy roads can be found in any part of the city where potholes and sludge cannot be avoided. The conditions of the roads have provided issue to the opposition parties that were otherwise issueless. Only a day after the AAP in an offbeat way to highlight the condition of roads in the city planted saplings in potholes and named those after politicians of the State. led by MP coordinator of AAP Alok Agrawal, partymen planted saplings in the potholes on the roads in Jinsi area of the city. They named those
potholes after politicians, including PWD Minister Rampal Singh and Cooperatives Minister Vishwas Sarang.
