The Piplani police have on Tuesday nabbed five miscreants who were planning dacoity in Bharat Nagar ground late in the night on Tuesday and recovered an iron road, a country-made pistol and one live cartridge from their possession.
Acting on a tip off three police team swung into action and rushed to the spot where the accused were planning dacoity and nabbed five miscreants and recovered arms which were planned to be used during dacoity. Polcie said that when the dacoits were questioned they confirmed that they were planning of dacoity and were waiting for the correct time to target. The police have registered a case under sections 399 and 402 of the IPC and section 25 and 27 of the Arms Act.
The five nabbed dacoits were identified as Imran, Naeem, Firoz, Shahid and Ajay. The accused belonged to Aishbagh, Nishatpura and Teelajamalpura localities and are habitual offenders who have past criminal record. During the investigation police have found that the dacoits were planning to rob petrol pump and in case if petrol pump would remain crowded with vehicles they would change target and dacoity would be committed in any house of the area.
The accused have confessed dacoity and burglaries and have served jail for the crimes. Police would investigate for the source of arms and weapons and other crimes by the five accused nabbed.
