Five persons including the husband of a victim woman involved in burglary at Moti Mahal under Talaiya police station area were arrested on Sunday. Valuables worth Rs 2 lakh was also recovered. .
Police said that five miscreants were identified as Mohammad Gufran of Budhwara, Shahrukh of Bhoipura, Shaffan Qureshi of Budhwara, Mohammad Rizwan of Barelagaon and Mohammad Iqbal of Nariyalkheda.
The victim, Sairabano, lodged a complaint against her son-in-law Gufran who along with four others broke the locks of his house and escaped with goods worth Rs 2 lakh.
In her complaint, Saira stated that her daughter Saba was married to Gufran and on September 13 he took Saba to his relatives and during the visit Saba informed her that Gufran informed Rizwan over phone that Saba is outside and take goods by breaking the locks of the house.
After receiving the information Saira along with her son visited house and found that house was ransacked and when they enquired neighbours revealed that Gufran’s driver Rizwan, Iqbal, Saffan and Shahrukh broke the lock and took the valuables.
Based on the complaint police registered case under sections 457, 380 and 120 (B) of the IPC and nabbed the five. The nabbed accused were grilled and during which they confessed the burglary at Saba’s house.
