The students of polytechnic colleges showcased the best of the skills at the first ever Inter Polytechnic Competition. The competition was organized here on Wednesday at Women’s Polytechnic College.
The inter Polytecnic Competition was organized jointly by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Institute of Engineering India (IEI) University Students Chapter. At women’s polytechnic the competition was organized in four departments i.e. technical and non-technical departments. Besides, the students of Jabalpur and Indore Polytechnic colleges also participated in the competitions.
The students participated in the competition with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm. The principal of Women’s Polytechnic College KD Rao said that this is an academic event.
The purpose of this event is to provide the technical and commercial knowledge of the diploma students.
The Department of Electronics organized a competition of scientific models on themes like environment and society, latest trends in electronics. The students prepared power point presentations and models on the given themes. Using the various technical tools, showcased their technical skills.
In this competition the Women’s Polytechnic College grabbed the champion’s trophy.
The Computer Science Department organized the competition on poster making and oral presentations. The theme of the competition was latest Trends in Computer Technology. On the other hand the Department of Fashion Technology organized a competition on ‘Paper is Competition’ wherein the students beautifully showcase dtheir fashion designing skills through a ramp walk.
The students prepared dresses out of newspapers, magazine papers and calendar papers. It was a wondrous show put up by the students showcasing their skills. The Architecture and Interior Designing Department organized a sketching competition and graphic modeling competition wherein the students prepared beautiful interior designs with the best of their skills.
