The foodies of the city will enhance their taste buds at the Hawkers Food Festival that began here on Tuesday near Shahpura lake. Inaugurated by Mayor Krishna Gaur, the Hawkers Food Festival is being organised by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation. Various varieties of delicacies will be served by hawkers at one place. Notably, the Hawkers Food Festival would continue till July 14. Notably, the food festival is being organised by the BMC to enhance the livelihood of hawkers by promoting and marketing their food.
As many as 130 hawkers have participated in the festival and are serving the delicious hot food to the Bhopalites. Further, keeping in view the arrival of monsoon, the most loved snack of the season Hot Corn is also being served at the hawker’s festival and is in much demand. Other than this, delicacies of various regions like Rajasthani, Punjabi, Chinese, Mughlai, and more. Not only this, the famous tea stalls of the city are serving their special chai at the fest and this beverage is in the top list of the foodies. Cool drinks like Coconut water and fruit juices are also available at the shawkers food fest. This is not the limit for the Bhopalites to enjoy the hawker’s food fest but, a rock band show was also presented on the first day of the fest. Further, a magic show was also presented before the visitors. Notably, no stone is left unturned in the arrangements of the festival and the enjoyment of the citizens. During the inauguration, BMC Additional Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Chandramauli Shukla, corporator Surjit Singh Chauhan, Archana Pandey, Ishwari Nathani, Sandhya Pradhan other BMC officials were present.
