A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her father on October 26 at Sanjay Nagar under Shahjehanabad police station area. A complaint was lodged by the victim and her mother on Thursday.
According to police, victim in her complaint stated that she was alone at house when her father sexually assaulted her and threatened her of life. The victim used to live with her mother and father.
Initially, she kept mum fearing social stigma but observing her depression her mother asked the reason after 5 days after which she braved to reveal the incident. The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and sections 3 and 4 POCSO Act-2012. After the case was registered the accused went absconding and was arrested later. The accused father holds criminal record and has been booked by Shahjehanbad and other police for theft, assault and other crimes.
Meanwhile, Koh-e-Fiza police have booked a miscreant for molesting a 28-year-old-girl in Lalghati area on Thursday. Police said that the accused, identified as Mahendra alias Golu Thakur molested the victim near her coaching class at Lalghati.
The victim lodged a complaint with the Koh-e-Fiza police against the accused who had molested her on Thursday. The accused asked the victim to marry her and threatened her of life is she would fail to marry him. In her complaint victim stated that she was molested by the accused who she was engaged but after family came to know about Mahendra’s criminal record the refused to marry victim with the accused.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under sections 506 and 354 of the IPC and have started search for the accused who went absconding after the complaint was lodged.
