Mission 2013 has been accomplished in Madhya Pradesh and its outcome would be declared on December 8. The outcome would not only decide that which party is going to make next Government in the State but would also decide the stature of many political leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress.
The BJP leaders whose political fate is at stake on the outcome of this election include Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, national vice presidents Prabhat Jha and Uma Bharti, State president and MP Narendra Singh Tomar and State organisational general secretary Arvind Menon.
Chouhan if emerges victorious and meets the expectations of party leadership than it is for sure that he would emerge as big face of the party leader in national politics.
Jha’s stature would also be decided after the results of the MP elections as he has been very active in the state politics and actively participated in the state elections.
Bharti’s role in the national politics of the BJP would also be decided through the results of MP elections.
Tomar’s stature in the party would rise if the party gets expected results in the assembly elections while Menon could get promoted in national politics if party meets expected results.
The Congress leaders whose future is at stake on the results of Mission 2013 include Union minister and chairman of the state election campaign committee Jyotiraditya Scindia, former union minister and former state president Suresh Pachouri, leader of opposition in the state assembly Ajay Singh and state president and MP Kantilal Bhuria.
If the Congress returns to power in the state than it is for sure that Scindia would emerge as the main power centre of the party in MP and if the expectations are not met than it would adversely affect his future politics.
Pachouri who has also contested along with many of his followers if emerges victorious and his disciples also tastes victory and party comes to power than would be strong contender for chief minister and if loses election and his disciples also loses than it is for sure that his stature would be dented in the central leadership of the party.
For Ajay Singh victory for the party would strengthen his position and would emerge as an important power centre in the state politics but if party loses than it is for sure that his stature would be let down.
If the Congress comes to power in the state than Bhuria could become the first Tribal chief minister of the state but if the results comes adverse than would be made scapegoat with blame of defeat on his head.
