The daily commuters especially the four wheelers are facing a tough time as they have to stand in a long queue for want of fast tag facility at the toll booth located on the road near IIM, Indore and the receiving of toll tax on this toll barrier is done manually by the toll operators.

The 14 kilometres long Indore Pithampur toll road is administered by AKVN Indore, and is operated by Rau Pithampur infrastructure private limited is a linking road which connects Indore city with Pithampur industrial area. This road also connects the Pithampur industrial area with the Agra Bombay national highway. Hundreds of vehicles ply daily on this road; hence the absence of fast tag facility and manual mode of payment of toll causes the vehicles to stand in long queue thus wasting lot of their time. As the vehicle have to be kept on moving mode, this uninvited trouble causes the wastage of fuel also, subsequently adding to air pollution. This 14 kilometres long toll road is in bad shape too as big potholes are found at many places on it. The driver of small vehicles have to experience a big jerk over these potholes because they are not visible from far thus inviting accidents. When The Pioneer asked the operator present at the toll booth for the absence of the fast tag he told that the fast tag operational facility never started on this toll road till now.
