The school students of the city would be mesmerised by the magic of science in a summer vacation workshop. Being organised by the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, the summer vacation workshop would be conducted in different sessions at the science centre’s premises.
The workshop is being organised with a motive to teach children about the various facts and also to make them aware of the new innovations in different streams of science. As the science workshop would be held in four different sessions there would be different batches for the middle school and high school students. The first batch of the summer vacation workshop, ‘Creative Science,’ would begin here on May 5 that would continue till May 9. Under this batch, the students of Classes VII to IX may participate.
The second session, ‘Model Rocketry,’ would be held from May 19 to 23 and the students of Classes VI to VIII can register their names for the session. The third session, ‘Aeromodelling,’ would commence on May 27 and end on the 31st in which students of Classes VIII to X can participate. The fourth and the last session of the workshop, ‘Electronic,’ would be held here from June 3 to 7 for the students of Classes VIII to X.
For all the batches the timings will be from 11.30 am to 4.30 pm. The registration for these workshops starts on May 1, at RSCB, from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm, and will be done on first come first served basis.While talking to The Pioneer, Education Officer of the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, said, “During this summer vacation, the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, has organised four batches of different workshops for the students so that they can spend their vacation creatively and explore their hidden talents. It is fun-filled and also the students would experience how to conduct the practicals as well.”
