The farmers whose loans are being waived under Jay Kisan Crop Loan Waiver scheme can get fresh loans according to their need for agricultural activities. The process of taking a fresh loan remains unchanged. They will get loans according to the process followed in previous years.
Their eligibility for loan and the amount of loan waiver will not be affected even if they take a fresh loan. Farmers can also have renewal of their loan.
Chief Minister Kamal Nath has reiterated his commitment to waiving of loans of farmers. He has also instructed to start the process of implementing the second phase of Jay Kisan Crop Loan Waiver Scheme.
The state government has made it clear that no instructions have been given regarding submission of No-Dues Certificate of banks and getting the land mortgage-free. There are no such instructions from the APEX Bank.
There should be no confusion at the district level in this regard. Banks should provide loans at their level and ensure agricultural inputs.
